Question:304 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation when a national lottery grant will be made to Causeway GAA Club, Tralee, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29564/01]
Written Answers. - Sports Capital Programme.
A grant of £25,000 was allocated to Causeway GAA club under the 2001 sports capital programme, administered by my Department. The grant allocation was in respect of pitch development and floodlighting and was subject to the terms and conditions of the programme.
On 3 July 2001 my Department requested the club to submit the necessary documentation required in order to confirm the grant but to date they have not responded to this request. When this documentation is received and found to be in order, payment of the grant will be made to the club.
