99 Mr. Naughten asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the number of jobs created in County Roscommon and County Longford in the years 1997 to 2001 inclusive; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [29724/01]

Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment (Ms Harney):

Job creation figures for 2001 are not yet available in respect of the industrial development agencies. The following table shows the number of jobs created year-on-year in the two counties in question for the years 1997 to 2000, inclusive. These figures include permanent full-time jobs created by companies assisted by IDA Ireland and Enterprise Ireland.
