Vol. 545 No. 1

Written Answers. - Defence Forces Property.

Jack Wall

Question:

140 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Defence the number of houses in Orchard Park, Curragh, County Kildare, which have been purchased by the occupants; the number of houses where ongoing negotiations are taking place; the position regarding the householders in Orchard Park; and the position of necessary repairs to their households. [29691/01]

To date, 90 of the residents of Orchard Park have opted to purchase their houses and 29 of the sales have so far been completed. In addition, contracts of sale have been signed in a further 32 cases. In line with normal practice the houses are being sold in the condition in which they stand and the question of carrying out repairs to them cannot therefore be considered.
