150 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Defence the number of claims for compensation for post-traumatic stress syndrome made by members of the Defence Forces to date in 2001; the number of claims which were made in respect of service in the Lebanon; the number of cases settled and the average amount paid in compensation; the number of cases still outstanding; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30543/01]

A total of four claims alleging post-traumatic stress disorder have been made by members of the Defence Forces to date in 2001. All of these claims were made in respect of service in the Lebanon and they are still outstanding.
