Vol. 545 No. 4

Written Answers. - Tax Refunds.

Liam Aylward

Question:

201 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Finance when a refund of PAYE income tax will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny. [30520/01]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes has no record of having received an application for a refund of income tax from the taxpayer. The inspector's records indicate that the taxpayer had two employments during the current tax year. On the basis of her earnings from those employments, and assuming she does not take up employment again before 31 December 2001, the inspector has calculated that the taxpayer is due a refund of £703.01 or 892.64. A cheque for this amount is in the process of being issued.
