Question:246 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Health and Children if University College Hospital Galway has a vascular surgeon at present; if the hospital had a vascular surgeon in March 1996; if the hospital had a 24-hour vascular surgical cover in March 1996; if the hospital now has 24-hour vascular surgical cover; if the hospital had facilities to perform limb angiograms in March 1996; if there has been enhancement of limb vascular treatment facilities at the hospital from March 1996 to date in 2001; the protocol in place at the hospital in April 1996 for helicopter transfer of patients to Dublin hospitals; and if such a protocol has changed since March 1996.
