300 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when guidelines will be issued to local authorities covering the operation of Part V of the Planning Act, 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30776/01]
Guidelines for planning authorities on Part V of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 along with a model housing strategy were issued by my Department in December 2000. These documents are available on my Department's website and have been placed in the Oireachtas Library. Further guidance on practical issues arising from the implementation of Part V is being finalised by my Department and will be issued shortly.
