Question:

309 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the number, details and individual cost of water schemes approved for commencement in the year 2001, in County Roscommon; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30996/01]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 308 and 309 together.

Details of the major water and sewerage schemes approved for County Roscommon are set out in my Department's Water Services Investment Programme 2000-2002, a copy of which is available in the Oireachtas Library. These would be in addition to the block allocation of £1.675 million – 2.127 million – in 2001 to the council in respect of the devolved rural water programme for small public water and sewerage schemes and group schemes.
