343 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the different reports commissioned and published by him since the Government entered office in 1997. [30444/01]

The information requested by the Deputy is set out as follows:

The Interdepartmental Working Group on Integration was established in November 1998 and the group's report was launched in February 2000.

Refugee Law Comparative Study by Faculty on Law, UCD on EU and Irish Refugee legislation was published in March 2000.

The Interim Report of the Commission on Liquor Licensing on Off-Licensing was published in May 2001.

The Report of the Consultative Group on the Private Security Industry was published in December 1997. Children in the Irish Juvenile Justice System is completed but not yet published.

Report of the Firearms Legislation Review Group was published in November 1998.

Report of the Working Group on the Review and Improvement of the Maternity Protection Legislation was published on 28 February 2001.
Report of the Working Group on the Review of the Parental Leave Act, 1998, will be published in the New Year.
A Report on the survey on Equal Opportunities in the State Sponsored Sector was published in October 1999.
Research on the Development of Mechanisms to Monitor Progress in Achieving Gender Equality in Ireland. The research was published on 16 October 2001.
National Report of Ireland in response to United Nations questionnaire to Governments on the implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action. In January 2000 Ireland published an implementation report which was subsequently submitted to the UN in the form of a reply to a questionnaire sent by the UN to all Governments.
A Draft National Plan for Women 2001 – 2005 was published on 16 October 2001.
The Third Progress Report on the Implementation of the Recommendations of the Second Commission on the Status of Women was published in March 1999.
Gender Proofing in the context of the Structural Funds 2000-2006 was published in July 1999.
A Report on Equality Proofing was published in January 2000.
A Working Paper on Information and the Courts was published in November 1997.
The Fifth Report of the Working Group on a Courts Commission was published in February 1998.
The Sixth Report of the Working Group on a Courts Commission was published in November 1998.
The First Report of the Drug Court Planning Committee – Pilot Project, was published in August 1999.
An Examination of the Feasibility of Introducing a Public Defender System for Ireland was published in February 2000.
Twenty-First to Twenty-Fifth Interim Reports of the Committee on Court Practice and Procedure were published in September 1997.
The Report of the Expert Group appointed to consider changes in the Criminal Law which were recommended in the Garda SMI Report, July 1998. This report was not formally published but it was made available to the public through my press office.
The Final Report of the Working Group on the Review of the Coroner Service was published in December 2000.
The Report of the Interdepartmental Group on the Review of the Gaming and Lotteries Acts, 1956 to 1986, was published in June 2000.
The Report of the Working Group on the Illegal and Harmful Use of the Internet was published in July 1998.
National Childcare Strategy, Report of the Partnership 2000 Expert Working Group on Childcare was published in January 2000.
A Study on the Economics Of Childcare in Ireland was published during 2000.
National Childcare Census Reports were published during 2000 and early 2001.
The First Progress Report of the National Steering Committee on Violence Against Women was published in March 1999.
The Review Group on investment-based naturalisation was established on 20 April 1998 and reported in May 2000 and I have undertaken to publish the Report once it has been considered by Government.
Interim Report of the Committee to Review the Offences against the State Acts, 1939 – 1998, laid before the Houses of the Oireachtas on 1 August 2001.
Deloitte & Touche report on the Forensic Science Laboratory was published in 2001.
First Progress Report of the Committee to monitor and co-ordinate the implementation of the recommendations of the Task Force on the Travelling Community was published April 2001.
A Comparative study of international legislation and practice in the field of immigration was commissioned in October 2001 and is being undertaken by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM). It will be finalised early next year. The question of publication has not yet been considered.
The Report of the National Crime Forum was published in December 1998.
The Impact and Effectiveness of the Garda Special Projects Report was published in May 2000.
A research report entitled "Attrition in Sexual Assault Cases in Ireland: A Qualitative Analysis“, was published in January 2001.
The Centre for Social and Educational Research, Dublin Institute of Technology, were commissioned to produce a report entitled "Study of Participants in Garda Special Projects". I expect the report to be published by the end of this year.
University College Dublin was commissioned in the year 2000 to research and produce a report entitled "An Econometric Analysis of Burglary in Ireland". It is expected that the report will be published by the end of this year.
Report of the Group to review the Psychology Service of the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform was commissioned in December 1998 and published in August 1999.
Report of Mr John Olden into the Management of the Life Sentence of Thomas Murray was commissioned in December 2000 and published in April 2001.
The First Report of the Expert Group on the Probation and Welfare Service was published in October, 1998.
The Final Report of the Expert Group on the Probation and Welfare Service was published in July 1999.
Report of the Group to Review the Structure and Organisation of Prison Health Care Services was published in May 2001.
Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV in Irish Prisoners: Prevalence and Risk, was published in July 2000.
A General Healthcare Study of the Irish Prisoner Population was published in July 2000.
The Report of the Environmental Waste Management Policy Group of September 2001 is currently being considered by Prison Management.
The Report of the Criminal Justice Technology Group 1 – Legal Issues was commissioned in September 2000. The group has not yet reported.
The Report of the Criminal Justice Technology Group II – Planning/Building Group was commissioned in September 2000. The group have not yet reported.
The Report of the Prisoner Transportation Review Committee was commissioned in December 1999 and reported in November 2000. Its report has not yet been published.
The Report of the Mountjoy Complex Redevelopment Group was commissioned late 1999. The Group produced two reports which were published in May 2000 and February 2001.
Report of the Establishment Group for the National Disability Authority and Disability Support Service – Building a Future Together was published in June 1998.
Progress Report on the Implementation of the Recommendations of the Commission on the Status of People with Disabilities – Towards Equal Citizenship was published in December 1999.
Report of Research Project on the Effective Recruitment of People with Disabilities into the Public Service (Commissioned in partnership with The Equality Authority) was published in November 2000.
The following research studies have been published since 1997.
