Vol. 545 No. 4

Written Answers. - Garda Investigations.

Tony Gregory

Question:

349 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 288 of 27 November 2001, the organisation running the dances and discos has the necessary licences. [30578/01]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that as a result of a Garda investigation it has been established that the organisation referred to in the Deputy's question does not have a public dance licence, music licence or a singing licence. This organisation is to be prosecuted for running events without having any of the above licences. I have also been informed that this organisation has been advised not to hold any further dances or discos without the requisite licence.
