Written Answers. - Psychological Service

Róisín Shortall

Question:

399 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to cases of persons (details supplied) in Dublin 11; the steps he will take to ensure that such assessments are carried out without delay; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30553/01]

Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods): I have asked the national educational psychological service to investigate the needs of these students as a matter of urgency. This will be done in collaboration with the psychological service of the City of Dublin VEC, which provides a service for the post-primary school concerned.
