Vol. 545 No. 5

Written Answers. - Ambulance Services.

Ivor Callely

Question:

127 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Health and Children the cost of the ambulance service for the eastern region; the level of co-operation between the operators; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31064/01]

Responsibility for the provision of ambulance services in the eastern region rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive officer of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
