Vol. 546 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospitals Building Programme.

Tom Hayes

Question:

103 Mr. T. Hayes asked the Minister for Health and Children when funding will be provided and contracts signed for the agreed extension to Our Lady's Hospital, Cashel, County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31189/01]

The provision of services at Our Lady's Hospital, Cashel is a matter for the South-Eastern Health Board, in the first instance. Funding for developments at Our Lady's Hospital is being provided through the South-Eastern Health Board's national development plan allocation and planning of phase 1 of the project is at an advanced stage. Tenders have now been received in relation to the phase 1 developments. Discussions are taking place between the South-Eastern Health Board and my officials in relation to the tenders received.
