Question:

114 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath will be admitted to St. James's Hospital to have a procedure carried out therein; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31236/01]

Responsibility for the provision of health services to persons living in County Westmeath rests with the Midland Health Board in the first instance. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.

115 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will be called for treatment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31237/01]

Responsibility for the provision of hospital services to residents of County Sligo rests with the North-Western Health Board. My Department has therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the health board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
