[31271/01]

An application by the school authorities of St. Fiace's National School, Graiguecullen, for grant-aid to develop facilities at the school is being examined in the planning section of my Department at present. As part of this process, all relevant factors, including enrolment and demographic trends in the area, will be taken into consideration. A decision on the matter will be notified to the school authorities as soon as possible. Decisions relating to the progress of individual projects, including any proposed project at St. Fiace's will be taken as in previous years, in the light of allocations to be made for school building purposes.
