Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Gregory – the lack of speech and language services for 22 children in need of speech therapy at St. Vincent's Infant Boys School, North William Street, Dublin 1; (2) Deputy Fitzgerald – the recent report on asylum seekers which outlined appalling conditions in their accommodation and other aspects of their life here; (3) Deputy Rabbitte – the reason for the delay in completing the report of the Motor Insurance Advisory Board, when the report will be published and if the Minister anticipates any reduction in the burden of insurance costs for young drivers; (4) Deputy Kenny – the need to take measures to protect the livelihood and traditional income of inshore fishermen in Broadhaven Bay and the north Mayo coast in view of the development of the Corrib gas field by Enterprise Ireland; (5) Deputy Austin Deasy – the level of compensation paid to dairy farmers who have an incidence of BSE in their herd and their loss of income due to zero milk sales; (6) Deputy Dukes – proposed EU restrictions on fish quotas; (7) Deputy Aylward – the need to make funding available immediately for the augmentation of the Kellymount-Paulstown-Goresbridge water supply scheme in County Kilkenny; and (8) Deputy Owen – the discovery of an illegal dump on 120 acres of land at Belcamp, County Dublin containing hospital and industrial waste and the actions the Minister proposes to take arising from this discovery.

The matters raised by Deputies Rabbitte, Aylward, Owen and Kenny have been selected for discussion.
