29 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the progress made to date regarding meeting obligations under the Kyoto Agreement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31125/01]

I refer to the reply to Question No. 94 of 6 November 2001.

I understand from my colleague, the Minister of State at the Department of Public Enterprise, that at the closing date for the renewable energy competition referred to in the above reply, some 255 MW of renewable energy based plant had been offered.
