Vol. 546 No. 3

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Phil Hogan

Question:

118 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when various premia payments will be made to persons (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31383/01]

The persons named applied for premium for 65 animals under the 2001 suckler cow premium scheme. Payment of the 80% advance entitlement was delayed because of a problem regarding herd reconciliation. Details on the CMMS herd reconciliation profile were updated by SWS Bandon on 26 November. The application will now be processed further and payment is expected to issue shortly.

The person named has to date submitted eight applications under the 2001 special beef premium scheme in January, March, June (two applications), August, October, November and December.

A query concerning the herd reconciliation details has now been resolved and payment of the 80% advance will issue in early January in respect of the first five applications. The payments in respect of the October, November and December applications will be made when the respective retention periods are complete and the terms and conditions of the scheme have been met.

Payment in respect of the slaughter premium scheme 2001 issued to the person named on the 16 October in relation to animals found eligible for the period January to June.
