159 Mr. T. Hayes asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a suckler subsidy payment was not made to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31951/01]
The person named included parcels in his 2000 area aid application which related to two commonages on which an overclaim occurred. This resulted in a delay in processing his area aid application. This matter has now been resolved in favour of the herdowner. Payment of the 80% advance entitlement under the 2001 suckler cow premium scheme will issue this week.
