Vol. 546 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Bernard Allen

Question:

182 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will investigate a situation whereby the South-Western Health Board has placed quotas on the number of cervical smears which can be carried out. [31401/01]

The information sought by the Deputy regarding cervical smear testing in the South-Western Health Board Area is not readily available. My Department has, therefore, written to the regional chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority seeking details on this issue. This information will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as possible.
