Vol. 546 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Question:

205 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Health and Children the most recent waiting list for audiology services in the Southern Health Board, Tralee; the number of persons on the waiting list; the average waiting time; the steps being taken to reduce the waiting list; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31522/01]

Data on audiology waiting lists are not routinely collected by my Department.

The provision of services in this case is the responsibility of the Southern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to look into the matter and reply directly to the Deputy.
