Data on mortality are routinely published in the Annual and Quarterly Reports on Vital Statistics compiled by the Central Statistics Office. The most recent figures available refer to the second quarter of 2001 and these are provided in the following table in addition to data for 1990, 1995, 1999 and 2000.
