244 Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for Health and Children the numbers of persons in psychiatric care in the Western Health Board area in the years 1990 to 1993, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2000 and to date in 2001; the age profile for each year; the number of persons not classified as psychiatric patients but maintained in these centres for each of the years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. It has not been possible in the time available to compile the comprehensive statistics requested by the Deputy. However, they will be made available to the Deputy by my Department as soon as possible.
