311 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the progress which has been made in the establishment of a national cultural resource centre at a location (details supplied) in County Cork; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [31386/01]

My Department has initiated discussions with the parties concerned about possible use of the location referred to by the Deputy for cultural heritage purposes. I point out, however, that these discussions have not envisaged the establishment of a national cultural resource centre as referred to by the Deputy.
