Vol. 546 No. 3

Written Answers. - School Accommodation.

Olivia Mitchell

Question:

420 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will ensure that funding is provided in 2001 for permanent classrooms at St. Colmcille's junior school. [31766/01]

I understand the Deputy is referring to St. Colmcille's junior school, Knocklyon.

An application has been received for capital funding in respect of permanent accommodation at the school in question. Decisions on the appointment of design teams in respect of individual projects will be taken in light of the recent allocation for primary school buildings in last week's budget and my Department will be in contact with the school authorities as soon as possible.
