433 Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for Education and Science the stage of planning within his Department of the request from the board of management of Kilcooley national school, Loughrea, County Galway; and when this application was received. [31890/01]

Architectural planning in respect of a building project at Kilcooley national school, Loughrea, County Galway is under way. It is not possible at this stage to say exactly when the project will go on site.

434 Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for Education and Science the stage of planning of Kil conirian national school, County Galway; when the application was received by his Department; and the details of the application. [31891/01]

I understand the Deputy is referring to St. Joseph's national school, Carrabane, Athenry, Loughrea, County Galway.

Architectural planning in respect of a building project at the school in question is under way. It is not possible at this stage to say exactly when the project will go on site.

An application has been received for capital funding in respect of a proposed project at Kiltartan national school, Gort, County Galway. Decisions on the appointment of design teams in respect of individual projects will be taken in the light of the recent allocation for primary school buildings in last week's budget and my Department will be in contact with the school authorities as soon as possible.
