Vol. 546 No. 4

Written Answers. - Waste Disposal.

Brendan McGahon

Question:

105 Mr. McGahon asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if a local authority can permit a company (details supplied), to whom they granted planning permission and a waste permit, to retain the planning permission if this company is dissolved; if they can retain the waste permit if this company is dissolved; if they can renew and extend the planning permission if this company is dissolved; and if they can renew and give a new waste permit if this company is dissolved. [32009/01]

I understand that a waste permit granted to the company concerned in October 1999 expired in October last. I am not in a position to anticipate the future use of the waste recovery facility formerly operated by this company or the regulatory regime that would apply in relation to such use.
