Vol. 546 No. 4

Written Answers. - National Cultural Institutions.

Question:

28 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the position regarding her consideration of the report the high level group examining all issues relating to the National Concert Hall at Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin 2; her plans to publish the report of the group; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [31812/01]

I refer the Deputy to my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 7 of 5 July 2001, on this matter. The report of the high level group established to examine matters relating to the National Concert Hall and the Earlsfort Terrace site has been received.

The report is now being considered by myself and the Minister for Education and Science, following which proposals requiring further action will be brought to Government for decision. It is not the intention to publish the report at this time.
