57 Mr. Cosgrave asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the reason for the delay in issuing a licence for the registration of a fishing boat to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 13; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31999/01]
The reason for the delay in completing the registration process in this case is that documentation regarding ownership of the vessel is under review by the local registrar of shipping. The registrar is dealing directly with the individual in this regard. Until the registrar of shipping is satisfied in all respects, my Department is not in a position to complete its part of the process.
