Vol. 546 No. 4

Written Answers. - Decentralisation Programme.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

84 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Finance the provision which he has made to implement the decentralisation programme announced two years ago; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [32120/01]

I have repeatedly made clear my determination to proceed with a new programme of decentralisation only after proper deliberation. That process is ongoing and in view of my determination in this regard I am not in a position to say definitively when I expect a decision to be taken other than to say such decisions will be taken as soon as is practicable after the conclusion of the current deliberations.
