Question:

103 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Defence if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 77 of 6 December 2001, he will report on the cost of prescribing a drug (details supplied) to the 38 persons; the effectiveness of the drug for the persons; the number who have obtained a desirable BMI and retained it; the prognosis in relation to the continuing use of the drug; if diet, eating habits and fitness of military personnel are monitored; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [32460/01]

The military authorities advise that the information sought by the Deputy is not readily available but is being compiled. I will write to the Deputy with the information as soon as possible.
