Vol. 546 No. 5

Written Answers. - Orthodontic Service.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

170 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children the proposals which have been made to provide orthodontic treatment to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; if progress is possible in the near future; if not, if he will authorise the payment for the work involved through a private practitioner; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [32404/01]

Responsibility for the provision of orthodontic treatment to eligible persons in County Kildare rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
