197 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the number of new cars registered and licensed for the first time in Dublin and in Counties Meath, Kildare and Wicklow in 1999, 2000 and to date in 2001; the information for other vehicles; the total number of private cars and other vehicles under current licence in Dublin and in counties Meath, Kildare and Wicklow for each year since 1995 to 2000; and the latest figure for 2001. The tabular statement below sets out the details requested in relation to the number of new cars and other vehicles registered and licensed for the first time. The other information requested has been set out in reply to Question No. 193 dated 4 July 2001 and, in respect of 1995, in the Irish Bulletin of Vehicle and Driver Statistics 1995, a copy of which is available in the Oireachtas Library.
