Vol. 546 No. 5

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

John Perry

Question:

277 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Education and Science the progress which has been made for the provision of a new secondary school in Ballisodare, County Sligo; when it will be sanctioned; the amount of moneys allocated; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [32207/01]

My Department has received an application for the provision of an extension at St. Mary's College, Ballisodare, County Sligo. The schedules of accommodation have recently been accepted by the school's board of management.

Decisions on the appointment of design teams in respect of projects will be taken in light of the recent allocation for post-primary school buildings in last week's budget. My Department will be in contact with the school authorities as soon as possible.
