325 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will approve the provision of a classroom assistant for a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [32286/01]

I am aware of the case to which the Deputy refers. My Department is investigating the provision of special needs assistant support for the pupil in question. A decision will be made in this matter shortly.
