126 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the spending on maintaining and upgrading county roads in each of the past five years; the estimate in each year of unit cost of different types of maintenance and reinstatement works covered under this programme. [3047/02]
Details of the non-national road grants paid to all local authorities are set out in the total non-national road grant payment booklets which are available in the Oireachtas Library.
The information requested on the average unit costs of restoration, maintenance and improvement schemes for county councils, which are based on each year's proposals from county councils under relevant multi-annual restoration programmes, is set out in the following table.
