The report contains 17 individual chapters, each of which addresses a particular aspect of policy or provision in relation to autistic spectrum disorders and makes recommendations for the future development of services. Overall, the report puts forward in excess of 180 individual recommendations.

The report of the task force, which is currently being considered in my Department, will make an important contribution to the future development of services for persons with autistic spectrum disorders.
