Vol. 547 No. 3

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Andrew Boylan

Question:

189 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a suckler cow payment was not made to a person (details supplied) in County Cavan; the reason a cow is being queried again; and if payment will now issue. [3537/02]

The person named applied for premium for ten cows under the 2001 suckler cow scheme. On processing this application for payment a problem arose regarding animal tag number BLA288164. This animal has been recorded in error on the CMMS as having been moved from another holding to a factory for slaughter. The district livestock office of my Department is satisfied that the applicant is entitled to payment for this animal. The application is now being processed and payment will issue within the next fortnight.
