236 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cavan has not been called for a hip operation to Our Lady's Hospital, Navan, County Meath in view of the fact that the person is now waiting in excess of 15 months for the operation; and if he will make the necessary arrangements and have the person admitted for surgery. Responsibility for the provision of hospital services to residents of County Cavan rests with the North-Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
