Vol. 547 No. 3

Written Answers. - Maternity Services.

Austin Currie

Question:

243 Mr. Currie asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of weeks at which pregnant women receive their first scan at hospitals (details supplied) in Dublin; the way in which this compares with each of the past five years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3456/02]

Services for eligible patients at the three Dublin maternity hospitals are provided under an arrangement with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised and respond directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
