Question:

244 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called to Galway Regional Hospital. [3532/02]

The provision of medical services in this instance is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.

245 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will examine the case of a person (details supplied); and the reason a reply did not issue. [3533/02]

The Deputy will be aware that responsibility for the provision of services at Monaghan General Hospital rests with the North-Eastern Health Board.

My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matters raised by the Deputy and to respond to him directly.
