80 Mr. Timmins asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if her Department operates term time; the number of persons who applied for this in 2000, 2001 and 2002; the number of persons who were accepted and availed themselves of the scheme; if persons were refused; if so, the reason therefor; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The term time scheme was introduced in my Department on a pilot basis in 1999 and has been operated on an annual basis since then. The following table details the numbers of staff in the Department that have applied and availed of term time in each of the years listed.
