114 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when an application for the early retirement scheme from farming by a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath will be finalised; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3688/02]
An application was first received from the person named on 6 April 2001 but it was incomplete and had to be rejected. A further application was submitted on 26 October 2001. I understand the applicant died on 29 October 2001. It has yet to be determined whether the application was valid and processing of this case is continuing.
