Vol. 548 No. 2

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Willie Penrose

Question:

230 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath has not been admitted to Beaumont Hospital, Dublin for an urgent procedure; the reason there has been such a delay; if steps will be taken to have this person admitted for this procedure; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4286/02]

Responsibility for the provision of health services to persons living in County Westmeath rests with the Midland Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to again pursue the specific case referred to by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
