400 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education and Science the gender breakdown of each of the post holders (details supplied) in the school year 2000-01 in secondary schools community schools and comprehensive schools; and the number in VEC schools and colleges. [4192/02]

According to my Department's records, the gender breakdown of post-holders in the 2000-01 school year in secondary and community/comprehensive schools is as follows:

My Department has requested vocational education committees to submit the relevant details in respect of the VEC sector and, as soon as they have been received and compiled, they will be forwarded to the Deputy.
