169 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his Department has made the necessary finance available to enable Castleisland Library, County Kerry, to proceed in 2002; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4842/02]

Minister for the Environment and Local Government (Mr. Dempsey):

My Department has recently sought clarification from Kerry County Council on a number of issues arising from the stage 2 – sketch design-cost plan – proposals submitted in November 2001 for the Castleisland library project. A response is awaited.
