137 Mr. T. Hayes asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason compensation under the brucellosis eradication scheme has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4849/02]

Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (Mr. Walsh):

A further substantial compensation payment is currently being processed by the local district veterinary office and a final decision in relation to the appeal will be taken very shortly.
