Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Timmins – the situation regarding proposals to improve accommodation for St. Patrick's national school, Greystones, County Wicklow; (2) Deputy Gormley – the delay by the Department of Education and Science in issuing sanction for new prefabricated classrooms for Muckross Park school; (3) Deputy Creed – the historic under-funding being received by Cork County Council for the maintenance, repair and improvements of non-national roads; (4) Deputy Kirk – the need to investigate the reported cases of asbestosis at Togher, County Louth (details supplied); (5) Deputy Healy – the urgent need for the appointment of community gardaí in the towns of Clonmel, Tipperary and Carrick-on-Suir; (6) Deputy Aylward – the need to proceed to tender for a major extension to St. Coleman's national school, Clara, County Kilkenny; (7) Deputy Sheehan – the seriously overcrowded conditions at Clonakilty community college, and when the project will go to tender stage; (8) Deputy Jim O'Keeffe – the loss of 75 jobs because of the closure of the Alcatel software centre, Bandon, and the need for urgent action to immediately attract another industry; (9) Deputy Neville – Adare sewerage scheme.

The matters raised by Deputies Jim O'Keeffe, Aylward, Sheehan and Creed have been selected for discussion.
