219 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will make available through the Oireachtas Library and before Dáil Committees, the Government's submission to the Barcelona Summit in March 2002, on orientations in the field of health care and care for the elderly; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As requested by the European Council meeting in Goteborg, June 2001, the Social Protection Committee and the Economic Policy Committee of Council are currently preparing a preliminary joint report on the future of health care and care of the elderly. While no agenda for the Barcelona European Council has been confirmed, consideration of this preliminary report is not expected to be one of the agenda items for the Council meeting.
