252 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will appoint an audiologist for the Southern Health Board to alleviate waiting lists; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5456/02]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

Responsibility for the provision of audiology services in this instance rests with the Southern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to her directly.
